Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for flexible casual work, meaningful participant relationships and opportunities to build a consistent roster?
Maple Community Services is looking for confident and compassionate Support Workers to join our growing team. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting people with complex health, physical disability, psychosocial and/or behavioural support needs.
You don't need experience in every area listed below. We're looking for people with a strong foundation in disability support who are willing to learn, develop and provide protected, person-centred support.

The Role
As a Support Worker, you'll provide individualised support based on each participant's needs, goals and preferences.
Depending on the participant and service, your work may include:
- community access and meaningful participation;
- medication support in accordance with training and participant requirements;
- implementation of participant support and behaviour support strategies;
- accurate progress notes, incident reporting and handovers; and
- recognising and escalating changes, risks or concerns appropriately.We're looking for workers who can build genuine rapport while maintaining professional boundaries, follow participant-specific support requirements and work confidently both independently and as part of a broader support team.
Highly Desirable Experience:
Experience or capability in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- seizure and epilepsy management;
- behaviours of concern and positive behaviour support;
- de-escalation and responding safely to complex or escalating presentations;
- Schizophrenia
- strong documentation, incident reporting and escalation skills

- reliable and committed to providing consistent support;
- confident working independently and using sound judgement;
- able to follow support plans, instructions and established procedures;
- comfortable communicating concerns and escalating when support is required;
- able to work collaboratively with participants, families and the broader support team; and
- available across at least 3–4 days per week.

Essential Requirement:
Successful candidates will need to meet Maple's applicable pre-employment and compliance requirements, including:
- current NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- current Working with Children Check;
- current First Aid and CPR certification;
- current driver's licence; and
- access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle.
