Illusion Australia Manufacturing Pty Ltd Metal Fabricator – Full-Time Illusion Australia Manufacturing Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Metal Fabricator to join our production team at our facility in Dandenong South, Victoria. About the Position This is a full-time chance for a skilled Metal Fabricator to contribute to the manufacture and assembly of our premium fireplace products and metal components.

Working as part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for accurately fabricating, welding, assembling and finishing a range of metal products while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with team members across departments to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.

Select suitable metal stock, clean materials and prepare them for the fabrication process. Read and interpret engineering drawings, design plans and work instructions to complete fabrication tasks accurately. Finish and clean completed metal products to the required standard.

Form and bend metal sections and pipes using hand tools, machinery, heating and hammering techniques. Align and position components ready for joining using appropriate hand tools and measuring equipment. Cut marked metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame torches and metal cutting machinery.

Weld, bolt and rivet metal components together to produce finished products. Operate workshop equipment and machinery, including cutting equipment, brake presses and welding machinery, under supervision. Ensure all welding and fabrication work is completed to a high standard.





Order metal stock and other metal components required for production. Follow workplace health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient workshop environment. Carry out accurate fabrication and assembly work in the production of high-quality fireplace units and components.

Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: A trade qualification in Metal Fabrication or a relevant equivalent qualification. At least 1 year of experience in a metal fabrication or similar manufacturing position.

Practical experience with MIG and TIG welding and general metalworking techniques. The ability to confidently read and understand technical and engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on quality workmanship.

Good knowledge of workshop tools, machinery and fabrication processes. The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision while also contributing positively within a team. A strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a productive workshop environment.
