This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and community-minded Midwife to join a multidisciplinary team delivering culturally safe, family-centred care to Aboriginal women and families across the Upper Hunter.

- Supporting continuity of care and appropriate referrals between services
- Working in a trauma-informed and culturally safe manner
- Maintaining appropriate clinical records and documentation
- Supporting families to navigate health and community services
- Contributing to a multidisciplinary approach that keeps the needs of the woman, baby and family at the centre.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified and registered Midwife
- Child and Family Health Certification
- Registered with AHPRA and able to meet all relevant registration requirements
- Experienced in, or passionate about, working with women, babies and families
- Respectful, compassionate and non-judgemental
- Able to build trusting relationships with Aboriginal women, children and families
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Committed to culturally safe and trauma-informed practice
- Able to identify when a family may require additional support and connect them with the appropriate service
- Organised and able to work independently while contributing positively to the broader team.
Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation or Aboriginal health setting will be highly regarded.
