About This Role
Your new role
Education
As a Midwife Educator, you will provide advanced midwifery education leadership across Logan and Bayside, helping build workforce capability and support contemporary, evidence-informed, woman-centred care. You will:
- Lead the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of midwifery education programs, supporting the development of staff from beginning practitioners through to advanced clinicians.
- Provide expert midwifery education and clinical advice, working collaboratively with Midwifery Unit Managers, Clinical Midwifery Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen practice and improve outcomes.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, research, quality improvement and innovation, including the translation of contemporary evidence into clinical practice.
- Lead and support simulation-based education, professional development, mentoring and capability-building initiatives across maternity services, while promoting culturally safe and inclusive care.
About You You are an experienced and passionate midwife who can combine advanced clinical expertise with strong education, leadership and collaboration skills.
- You are a registered midwife with advanced knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice, education and theory, with the ability to translate evidence into practice.
- You bring demonstrated experience in education, training, mentoring and team leadership,
with the ability to build capability, confidence and engagement across midwifery teams.
- You have strong critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills, together with experience in quality improvement, clinical governance and the development and evaluation of education programs.
- You are committed to woman-centred, culturally protected and evidence-informed care, and can work collaboratively with women, families, colleagues and multidisciplinary stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Unit Profile The Metro South Health (MSH) Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery (EDNM) Division provides overarching governance, leadership, strategic support and guidance for the Nursing and Midwifery professions across the health service. The nursing and midwifery team within the MSH EDNM Division supports the delivery of the MSH Nursing and Midwifery strategy and associated workforce priorities.
