The Roles

We are looking for Mine Surveyors for several roles with our Tier 1 clients. Open cut coal positions are in Queensland's Bowen Basin on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Brisbane, and underground metals positions are in Regional WA on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you deliver the day to day survey work that keeps the mine plan on track. You own the accuracy of your data and the plans built from it. You work closely with the planning, geology and production teams who rely on that data every shift.

On the coal side, you pick up pits, dumps and stockpiles, set out drill patterns and designs, and prepare volumes and month end reconciliations. You support dragline and truck and shovel operations and keep the pit plans current.

On the underground side, you pick up development and stopes, mark up headings,



and maintain underground survey control. You process void scans for stope reconciliation and keep level plans up to date for the technical services team.

The package is $240k inclusive of super. All flights, travel time and accommodation are covered.

To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

- A tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related field.
- A statutory mine surveying certificate will be highly regarded.
- Located near an airport and able to fly from Brisbane or Perth, depending on the role.
- Previous practical experience in open cut coal or underground metals mining in Australia, with an established understanding of mining operations.
- Solid working knowledge of survey instruments, data processing and survey CAD software.
- Hands on experience with pickups, setouts, volumes and month end reconciliation.
- A current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain one, for the Queensland coal roles.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to working safely in an active pit or underground.
- Clear communication skills to work with planning, geology and production teams.
- Current Australian drivers licence and full working rights in Australia.
