Got an MR licence? Swap the depot for film and TV sets. We're hiring casual drivers for our Unit team at shoots across Sydney regions and around other NSW based locations. Film or on-set experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
The basics
- Hours: Set by the shoot schedule. Expect long days, early starts, nights and weekends.
- Where: On location across Sydney regions and around other NSW based locations.
What Unit does On set, Unit handles everything except the camera: tables, chairs, coffee, power and tools. If the crew needs it, we sort it.
A typical day
- Pre-start checks, then drive a Honeywagon (mobile toilet and amenities truck) or production vehicle to location
- Put up marquees, tables and chairs, and load and unload gear
- Keep coffee and refreshments going for the crew
- Log site checks and job details on our app
- Pack down and clean your vehicle before you knock off
You'll need
- MR licence (HR welcome),
truck driving experience, and able to drive a manual
- Full Australian work rights
- Physically fit and fine with outdoor work in any weather
- Flexible availability, and on site 15 minutes before every call time
Handy but not essential Previous Unit or on-set work, or hospitality, events or barista experience.
