Position Summary

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will provide direct support to NDIS participants in their homes and communities. You will assist participants to achieve greater independence, improve their quality of life, and actively engage in social, recreational, educational, and employment activities.

This role requires someone who is reliable, compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering exceptional participant outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care

- Assist participants with personal care activities including showering, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support participants with mobility and transfers where required.
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with organisational policies and training.

Daily Living Support

- Assist with meal preparation and nutritional support.
- Support participants with household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.




- Promote independence through skill development and capacity-building activities.

Community Participation

- Support participants to access community, social, recreational, educational, and employment opportunities.
- Provide transport to appointments, activities, and community events as required.
- Encourage meaningful engagement and social inclusion.

Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain accurate case notes and incident reports.
- Report concerns, risks, incidents, and changes in participant wellbeing promptly.
- Comply with all NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies.

Participant-Centred Practice

- Respect participant choice, control, and individual goals.
- Build positive and professional relationships with participants, families, carers, and stakeholders.
- Advocate for participant rights, dignity, and independence.

Essential Requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working With Children Check (where required).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Smartphone with the ability to use roster and reporting systems.




- Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing, or Home and Community).
- Certificate IV in Disability Support.
- Experience supporting individuals with:
- Psychosocial disabilities
- Intellectual disabilities
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Physical disabilities
- Complex care needs
- Behaviour support requirements
