Role Highlights

Reo Group Executive Search has been exclusively retained to appoint a NSW State Manager for a leading Australian healthcare equipment manufacturer experiencing significant growth and expansion.

This newly created senior leadership role will take responsibility for a significant NSW business, leading a large, geographically dispersed multi-site network and a broader team of approximately 200 employees. The State Manager will lead the commercial performance of NSW, with accountability for revenue and gross margin, while providing leadership across the broader NSW operation.

Reporting to the Co-Chief Commercial Officer, the NSW State Manager will lead an established team of Regional Managers and commercial leaders across a business that operates across both B2B and B2C markets. The mandate is to drive profitable growth, strengthen sales performance, build greater consistency and accountability across the network, and lead a sizeable team through the organization's next phase of growth.

Role Overview The successful candidate will provide a critical leadership layer between the NSW operations and executive team, reflecting the significant growth, scale and increasing complexity of the NSW business.

The role will combine commercial and operational leadership and customer engagement. With 11 direct reports, the State Manager will work through Regional Managers responsible for the branch and profit center network, commercial leaders responsible for B2B sales teams, and customer service function.

The role will also work closely with national functions including Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT and People & Culture, creating stronger alignment between the NSW business and the broader organization.

Responsibilities

- Lead the commercial and P&L; performance of the NSW business, with accountability for revenue, gross margin, profitability and delivery against budget.
- Lead a geographically dispersed network of branches and profit centers through Regional Managers, driving consistency,

accountability and strong performance across the network.
- Lead and develop B2B sales leaders and teams, setting clear targets and driving measurable sales and commercial outcomes.
- Develop and execute state-wide sales and growth plans across channels and product lines to deliver profitable outcomes.
- Lead through an established, multi-layered management structure, building capability, engagement and accountability across the NSW leadership team.
- Strengthen branch and retail performance while maintaining strong local leadership, customer responsiveness and service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key B2B customers, healthcare organizations, government stakeholders and other external partners.
- Use commercial, operational, customer and people metrics to identify opportunities, address performance gaps and inform decision-making.
- Drive greater operating discipline and consistency across NSW while ensuring the business remains agile, responsive and close to its customers.
- Partner closely with national functions including Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT and People & Culture to deliver state and organizational priorities.

Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be an accomplished commercial and operational leader with significant experience leading a sizeable, geographically dispersed, multi-site or branch-based business. You will be comfortable leading through multiple layers of management and creating clear accountability across an established network.

You will bring strong B2B sales leadership experience, together with demonstrated P&L; ownership and a track record of delivering profitable growth,

improving commercial performance and building high-performing teams. You will be commercially astute, metrics-driven and comfortable using data to inform decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Experience within a branch, retail, distribution or similarly customer-facing environment will be highly regarded, particularly within a growing or evolving organization. You will know how to introduce greater structure, operating discipline and management cadence without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. Exposure to healthcare equipment, medical devices, aged care or a related sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will be a grounded, low-ego and high-EQ leader who can build credibility quickly, empower experienced leaders and address performance issues when required. Importantly, you will connect with the organization's purpose and its genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives.
