What You'll Be Doing As the Nurse Educator Grade 2 – Critical Care, you'll provide strategic educational leadership to strengthen nursing capability and support safe, evidence-based patient care across critical care environments.
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive Critical Care Nursing Education and Training Curriculum across Westmead Hospital.
- Design and deliver contemporary education using adult learning principles and innovative learning approaches for diverse clinical environments.
- Lead transition-to-practice pathways, competency assessment frameworks and career development initiatives that build critical care nursing capability.
- Establish quality assurance and evaluation frameworks to measure learner outcomes, program effectiveness and sustainable workforce development.
- Build strong partnerships with educators, nursing leaders and multidisciplinary stakeholders while coordinating Clinical Nurse Educators as education champions and super users.

Essential Requirements
Qualification: Registered Nurse with relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer
Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Selection Criteria
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and substantial recent clinical experience in Emergency and/or Intensive Care nursing, with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary critical care practice and a commitment to excellence in clinical education and career development.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in education or a related field, with recent experience in the development,
implementation and evaluation of education programs within a large and diverse healthcare organisation.
- Experience using a variety of education modalities across a diverse audience, with demonstrated positive results.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing change in a diverse clinical environment, with examples of effective stakeholder engagement across a broad group of teams.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects in a timely manner and meet set deliverables within stated timeframes.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience working in a consultative and collaborative manner across multidisciplinary teams and organisational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare and education teams, building productive partnerships with stakeholders to achieve high-quality workforce development and patient care outcomes.
