About the role

We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and highly organized Operations Manager to lead our services across our Kalleroo and Padbury locations. Reporting directly to the volunteer Management Committee, you will hold overall operational, financial, and pedagogical responsibility for our sites. As a Level 8 Director under the Children's Services Award, you will move beyond daily hands-on care to drive strategic compliance, lead and develop a dedicated team of educators, optimize occupancy, and manage key stakeholder relationships—including our critical partnerships with school leadership teams and the Management Committee.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations and strategic direction to deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality care through the consistent implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with the volunteer Management Committee, providing regular operational updates and strategic advice to support their role as the Approved Provider
- Build a robust skilled learning culture by identifying training opportunities, mentoring qualified coordinators, and implementing staff development initiatives across both sites
- Ensure strict adherence to the Education and Care Services National Law, National Quality Standards (NQS) and Department of Education licensing requirements
- Manage service budgets, monitor Child Care Subsidy (CCS) compliance, control operational overheads, and report directly on commercial viability
- Act as the primary liaison for families, school principals, and school communities to maintain HOOSCI's outstanding local reputation

About you

- A diploma or higher qualification in early childhood education and care,



school age education and care, teaching, or equivalent working experience as determined by HOOSCI
- Proven experience managing OSHC or Early Childhood services, demonstrating successful leadership
- A strong track record in staff development, performance management, and team building
- Deep financial literacy, including experience managing budgets and navigating CCS compliance systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the responsibilities of a Nominated Supervisor
- Current WA Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance, and ability to complete approved First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training prior to commencing in the role
- Child Safety training that meets applicable requirements, or the ability to complete it before commencing
- The ability to meet the requirements for appointment as a Nominated Supervisor and provide written consent to the nomination
- The right to work and remain permanently in Australia
