We supply builders and homeowners across regional NSW and the ACT from our branches in Orange, Singleton and Canberra. About the role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to run the day-to-day operations of all three branches. You'll report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for making sure we build the right product, on time, to a high standard, and at the right cost.

Key responsibilities

- Lead manufacturing, dispatch and installation across Orange, Singleton and Canberra
- Plan production schedules and capacity to meet customer and builder timeframes
- Manage branch and production leaders, and build a strong, accountable team
- Drive continuous improvement in workflow, quality, waste and lead times
- Oversee WHS and make sure every site is a safe place to work
- Track and report on key operating numbers: output, on-time delivery, labour, margin and rework
- Work with sales, estimating and purchasing so jobs run smoothly from order to install
- Manage supplier performance and inventory for materials
- Help build scalable systems and procedures as the business grows

About you





- Proven experience as an Operations or Production Manager in a manufacturing, fabrication or construction workplace
- Experience managing more than one site or a large production team
- A hands-on leader who's comfortable on the factory floor and in the office
- Strong understanding of scheduling, lean manufacturing and cost control
- Good with numbers and comfortable using ERP or production software
- Solid WHS knowledge and practice
- Willing to travel regularly between branches
- Current driver's licence

Experience in windows and doors, glazing, joinery, frame and truss, or building products would be highly regarded, but isn't essential. We care more about how you run an operation than which industry you learned it in. This role will suit someone who:
