As an overseer/station hand, you will be an integral team member, contributing to the ongoing success of our farming operations alongside your colleagues. Banyandah Pastoral manages 7,500 hectares around Dundonnell, Victoria. Offering the chance to work across a diverse range of enterprises.
Your day-to-day duties will be varied and hands-on, including working with sheep and cattle, fencing, operating machinery, handling chemicals, and undertaking general farm duties.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with sheep and cattle is required.
Reporting to the Farm Manager and working within a small, experienced team, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the highest standards of animal health and welfare
- Keeping accurate records for livestock, chemicals, and feeding programs
- Operating and maintaining plant and equipment while contributing to ongoing property development
- Complying with company policies and safe work procedures
About you:
- Passionate about working with livestock – particularly sheep
- Physically capable
- Enjoys working outdoors all year round
- Reliable and hardworking
- Willing to learn and take initiative
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Hold a current Australian car licence
You MUST be an Australian Resident (Visa holders need not apply) and hold an Australian Drivers License.
