Own car preferred to able to get to locations for events.

Shop located Aura Shopping center in Baringa, Queensland

1 Edwards Terrace, Baringa Queensland 4551 (Near Caloundra)

We run workshops including painting, clay hand building and throwing wheel

We can offer training on your own time for the throwing wheel sessions, being able to teach this type of session is required for the job role. Generally small classes 4-10 people. (Experience preferred however please outline this in your application)

Teaching Artist responsibilities

Running workshops

Lead up to 4-20 customers step-by-step through a featured painting

Create a fun atmosphere for all participants

Have an outgoing personality and entertain a crowd

Assist participants during the event

Set up and break down the event

Communicate with staff and be a team player

Take photos of event

Promote social accounts and other workshops and classes

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Being a professional and talented teaching artist who is ready, willing, and able to work with clients.

Ability to lead and entertain a group of adult beginner painters in a social atmosphere

Must own a smartphone capable of getting on the internet and/or digital camera

Part time hours: Varies on bookings Available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 3.5-4 hours per session, with Saturdays being double session late morning and afternoon.

Shifts mainly Friday afternoon, Friday night, Saturday Afternoon and night. Week night shifts as required mainly for private events.

Position for instructors

Job Type: Casual, can work on ABN or PAYG (Either way the Super of 12% is paid separately weekly)

week days teaching $37.50 plus super

Saturdays Teach $40 plus super

Sunday Teach $46.50 plus super

Public Holidiay $66.50 plus super

Job Types: Casual, Part-time

Pay: $37.50 – $46.50 per hour
