Company Description Emergency Response Services and Event Risk Safety provides professional first aid standby services for a wide range of environments and events. The team includes first responders, advanced life support paramedics, specialist paramedics, nurses, doctors, and safety officers who support industrial sites, remote locations, construction projects, and public and entertainment events.
Role Description The Paramedic will work as a casual employee in Melbourne, VIC, providing pre-hospital emergency care and first aid support at events, on track motorsport, back of house for major concerts, Medical coverage for high risk stunts for film and TV, and other assigned sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients, delivering advanced life support when required, stabilizing and monitoring patients, and coordinating transport to appropriate medical facilities. The role involves preparing and maintaining equipment and medical supplies, documenting clinical care, and following established protocols and safety procedures.
The Paramedic will collaborate with other medical and safety personnel, participate in risk assessments, and contribute to continuous improvement of emergency response plans.
This is for Melbourne based work, and we are located in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Qualifications
- Formal paramedic qualification (e.g., Diploma or Degree in Paramedicine or equivalent) and current registration or authority to practice with the relevant regulatory body.
- AHPRA Registered (Preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in pre-hospital emergency care, preferably in ambulance services, industrial sites, public events, or remote locations.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, basic and advanced life support, trauma management, and use of emergency medical equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, risk management, and incident response in high-risk environments such as construction, mining, or motorsport events.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, event staff, clinical colleagues, and safety officers.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound clinical decisions, and adapt to changing situations in energetic field environments.
- Current first aid, CPR, and advanced life support certifications,
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.
- Construction Induction card would be an advantage.
