About the role The Participation Coordinator – North & Northwest region is responsible for supporting the growth and delivery of participation initiatives in the North and Northwest regions. Lead by the Participation Manager the role will focus on planning and delivery of programs to support strategic outcomes. The role works closely with Netball Tasmania staff and volunteers and Affiliated Associations in the areas to streamline activities and ensure alignment of delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver participation programs across the North and Northwest regions of Tasmania, including Woolworths NetSetGo (WWNSG), Sporting Schools, After School programs, Community Clinics, School Championships, and Diversity and Inclusion programs and events
- Support the development and delivery of new participation programs and initiatives that support retention and growth strategies
- Work with Associations in the region to support the transition of participants between programs and competitions
- Identify and support the establishment of a casual coaching workforce
- Support coach and umpire development within programs as appropriate
- Identify participation-focused funding opportunities for consideration
- Collect and support the review and analysis of participation and membership data to assist informed decision making
- Promote 'Ticket to Play' and other government grant schemes as a financial support mechanism for eligible families
- Support the promotion of coach and umpire accreditation frameworks and development activities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to assist in growing participation across the State, inclusive of Schools, relevant government departments, community organisations and councils
