Love payroll but looking for greater flexibility?
Join the Bradnam’s Group Payroll team and play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, while enjoying a part-time role that can be tailored around your life.
About us The Bradnam’s Group is a family-owned Australian manufacturing business with a proud history spanning more than 47 years. The Group comprises Bradnam’s Windows & Doors, National Glass, Queensland Plastics, Cesana, Aura Windows & Doors and National Aluminium. From humble beginnings in a Hervey Bay backyard, we have grown to more than 1,800 employees, with manufacturing sites located along the East Coast of Australia from Cairns to Melbourne, supported by an Australia-wide network of Licensees.
Our people are at the heart of what we do, and our Payroll team plays an important role in supporting our employees across the Group.
About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Part Time Payroll Officer to join our Head Office Payroll team.
In this role, you will have primary responsibility for the payroll processing of two Bradnam’s Group businesses:

You’ll be supported by our broader Payroll team and will contribute to the successful delivery of payroll services across the wider Bradnam’s Group, supporting approximately 1,800 employees nationally.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys having ownership of their work, working collaboratively with stakeholders and being part of a close-knit tea, without the commitment of a full-time role.
What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end weekly payroll processing for National Glass and Cesana.
- Interpret and apply relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment conditions.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and masterfiles.

- Prepare superannuation and general ledger journals.
- Work closely with People Services, Finance, managers and employees to resolve payroll matters.
- Assist with broader payroll activities and provide support to the wider Payroll team when required.
- Ensure payroll processes are completed accurately, confidentially and within required deadlines.
Our payroll systems include:
- Mitrefinch TMS – Time & Attendance
- ADP Payforce – Payroll
Experience with either system is desirable, however, training can be provided to the right candidate.
About you
You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who takes pride in getting the details right and enjoys working collaboratively with others. We’re looking for someone who has:
- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong knowledge and experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment legislation.
- Experience processing weekly payroll for waged employees.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to payroll accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to investigate payroll issues and confidently work through solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a close-knit team.
- Experience with time and attendance systems.
- A genuine commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information appropriately.
Most importantly, you’ll be a humble, reliable people person who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in providing great service to our employees.
Flexibility that works for you
We understand that the reason you’re looking for a part-time role may be because you have commitments outside of work. That’s why we’re genuinely flexible with working arrangements.
We are open to discussing different part-time schedules with the successful candidate, including 4-day arrangements, school hours or other flexible combinations, provided the required payroll processing deadlines and key payroll days are covered.
If you have the payroll experience we’re looking for but need flexibility around your working hours, we’d love to have a conversation with you.
