Scope Healthcare

Melbourne

Lead our people function and build the HR systems behind it at one of Melbourne's largest cardiology groups.

Scope Healthcare is a steadily growing healthcare group delivering cardiac, sleep and respiratory diagnostics, radiology and accredited healthcare education. Our team continues to expand year on year as our services grow.

We're now looking for a People & Culture Manager to lead our people function and help us plan for the workforce we'll need next. You'll work closely with our Directors, clinical leaders and practice managers to strengthen management across our clinics and support our people as the business grows.

This is a hands-on role. Alongside planning and advising leaders, you'll personally manage recruitment, prepare employment documents, resolve employee matters and administer our people systems. You'll need to be comfortable taking responsibility from the first conversation through to the final detail.

What you will do:

- Lead our people priorities. Work with the Directors to turn business plans into practical actions for staffing, organisational structure, leadership development and retention.
- Strengthen management across our clinics. Clarify responsibilities, coach managers through difficult conversations and develop people who can step into future leadership roles.
- Run recruitment and onboarding. Personally manage sourcing, screening and interviews, coordinate reference checks, prepare offers and contracts, and make sure new starters are properly inducted.
- Manage employee relations. Take ownership of performance issues, grievances and investigations, including the conversations, documentation and follow-up needed to resolve them fairly.
- Support development and retention. Run performance and development reviews, listen to employee feedback and address recurring concerns about work,

progression and the experience of working at Scope.
- Keep employment practices consistent and compliant. Draft and maintain contracts, employment letters and policies. Apply relevant legislation and awards, and work with Finance on payroll changes, classifications and remuneration.
- Administer Rippling. Maintain employee records, configure and improve workflows, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and produce reporting that helps leaders act on workforce issues.
- Maintain workforce checks and records. Work with clinical and practice leaders to keep required staff checks, credentials and training current, and support workplace wellbeing, safety and return-to-work matters.

What you'll bring

You've taken responsibility for a broad HR function and are comfortable doing the work yourself. You can give Directors clear advice, earn the trust of clinical teams and follow through across different locations.

We're looking for

- Experience in a senior HR generalist or People & Culture role, ideally in a growing business with teams across multiple sites.
- Recent, hands-on experience running recruitment from sourcing through to offers and onboarding.
- Experience personally preparing employment contracts, variations, policies and other HR documentation.
- Confidence managing employee relations cases directly, including performance processes, grievances and investigations.

- Hands-on Rippling administration experience - essential, including maintaining employee data, configuring workflows and producing reports.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, the National Employment Standards and modern awards, with the ability to apply them to everyday decisions.
- Evidence of practical improvements you've implemented in people processes, manager capability or retention.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the organisation to manage competing priorities without losing track of the details.
- Employment Hero experience is highly regarded. Experience in healthcare, allied health or diagnostic services would also be valuable, particularly familiarity with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award.

Why join Scope Healthcare?

You'll lead the people function across established clinical services and newer areas of the business. Working closely with the Directors, you'll have the chance to shape how our teams are structured, how managers lead and how people develop their careers at Scope. You will have an opportunity to:

- Be part of one of Melbourne's largest cardiology groups.
- Build and improve our workforce and HR systems.
- Work closely and directly with the Managing Director.
- Take on a leadership role with real impact across the organisation.
- Have potential exposure to interstate operations.
