Pharmacist – Mackay Brand's Pharmacy (Full time or part time)

Thinking about moving from community pharmacy into hospital? This is your way in. Join the inpatient pharmacy team at Mater Mackay Hospital, a 105-bed private hospital with medical, surgical, maternity and high dependency wards, plus theatre and emergency. You'll get full training, working alongside experienced hospital pharmacists, and become a trusted clinical partner to nurses and doctors.

The role

- Ward rounds and patient chart reviews

- Medication reconciliation for new admissions

- Medicine reviews for high-risk patients

- Inpatient supply, discharge medication summaries and patient counselling

- Patient education sessions and nurse in-services

About you

- Degree in pharmacy, general AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance

- Community or hospital pharmacy background. Hospital experience is not required, just a keen interest in clinical practice and a willingness to learn

- Explicit communicator who works well in a team

- Willing to work within group policies and procedures, including medicine supply to the Mater
