We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Pharmacy & Retail Assistant to join our front-of-house team and help keep our busy community pharmacy running smoothly.

The Role

Working alongside our pharmacists and dispensary team, you will be the welcoming face of the pharmacy, serving customers on the shop floor while supporting the day-to-day flow of stock and prescriptions behind the scenes. This role balances warm, confident customer service with organised, hands-on retail and receiving duties, along with clear communication with residents and aged care facilities by phone and email.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and serve customers with courtesy, care, and professionalism.
- Process retail sales accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
- Initiate inbound scripts, ensuring prescription details are captured correctly for the dispensary team.
- Receive deliveries and mark off stock against manifests, flagging any discrepancies.
- Maintain shelf organisation, presentation, and cleanliness across the retail floor.
- Liaise with residents and facilities by phone and email as needed, providing clear, helpful, and empathetic support.

What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Prior experience in a pharmacy,



retail, or customer service setting is highly regarded but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Attitude: A positive, personable, and reliable approach, with a genuine willingness to learn and to help people.
- Attention to Detail: Care and accuracy when handling scripts, sales, and stock, with a focus on patient safety.
- Communication Fluency: Clear, friendly verbal and written English, and comfort speaking with customers, residents, and facility staff with tact and patience.
- Team Alignment: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while communicating well with pharmacists and colleagues.
