Lead the Way in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

Bring your advanced physiotherapy expertise to a specialist statewide service and make a meaningful difference to people living with spinal cord injury across Queensland.

About This Role

Your new role

Join the Spinal Outreach Team within the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service and provide advanced physiotherapy and consultancy services to people with spinal cord injury, their significant others and health professionals across Queensland. You'll work with a specialist interdisciplinary team to deliver creative, person-centred rehabilitation through inreach, community outreach, telehealth and regional visits.

You will,

- Provide advanced clinical assessment, treatment and consultancy for people with SCI across the lifespan.
- Act as a clinical expert, providing advice, mentoring and supervision to clinicians and students.
- Support specialist SCI care through telehealth, in-person outreach and regional focus events across Queensland.
- Lead clinical practice development, education, service improvement and evidence-based innovation.

About You You are an experienced physiotherapist with advanced clinical expertise in spinal cord injury rehabilitation and the confidence to work independently in complex clinical environments. You'll bring strong communication and leadership skills, a commitment to person-centred care and a passion for developing innovative services and supporting the growth of other clinicians. You will have;

- Advanced clinical expertise in SCI rehabilitation and complex patient care.
- Highly developed communication, consultation and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor,



supervise and develop less experienced clinicians.
- Leadership capability in clinical service improvement, research and innovative models of care.

Princess Alexandra Hospital The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.



We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
