About The Role:

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Plant Operator to join our Quarry team.

This hands-on role is responsible for the operation of quarry plant and mobile equipment to support the production and supply of quarry materials across the region. Working within a busy quarry environment, you will contribute to safe, efficient and productive operations while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Operating a range of quarry mobile plant and fixed crushing plant equipment.
- Undertaking routine servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment.
- Conducting daily operational tasks including plant operation, labouring and general housekeeping.
- Operating equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators and articulated dump trucks as required.
- Assisting with crushing,



material handling and other quarry activities to support daily operations.
- Providing courteous customer service to quarry customers and stakeholders.
- Supporting quarry operations across the region when required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Current Queensland C Class Manual Driver Licence.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Experience operating heavy machinery, plant or equipment in a quarry, construction, mining or similar workplace.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
