About the role

We have an opportunity for a Platform Owner to be part of our Policy Pipeline, Technology and Communication Services Command. The role is responsible for the strategic management and overall success of technology platforms within NSW Police Force with a primary focus on overseeing the life cycle of the platform, from initial planning and design to ongoing operations and continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for driving the successful delivery and continuous improvement of policy-focused digital solutions that support operational, corporate and legislative requirements across NSW Police Force. The position works with policy owners, operational stakeholders and delivery teams to translate complex policy, legislative and business requirements into digital capabilities that improve compliance, process efficiency and customer experience. The role ensures product priorities align with organisational objectives, regulatory obligations and evolving business needs.

Unique Aspects

- Owns and manages the product direction, roadmap and backlog for policyrelated digital services and platforms.
- Works closely with policy owners, business representatives and operational stakeholders to understand current and future policy requirements.
- Translates complex policy, legislative and procedural requirements into prioritised product features and business capabilities.
- Leads stakeholder engagement activities across diverse business areas to ensure solutions support operational outcomes and compliance obligations.
- Evaluates current business processes and identifies opportunities to improve, automate or digitise policy-driven activities.
- Facilitates the prioritisation of competing business requirements, balancing risk, compliance, value and delivery effort.
- Supports the delivery of technology solutions that improve policy implementation, governance and decision-making.
- Monitors legislative, regulatory and organisational changes that may impact product direction and customer needs.




- Uses business insights, customer feedback and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and measure product performance.
- Works collaboratively with analysts, architects, developers and vendors to ensure delivery outcomes align with policy intent and business objectives.
- Supports change adoption activities through stakeholder engagement, communication and continuous feedback.
- Contributes to strategic planning and future-state service design across policy and business transformation initiatives.
- Ensures solutions appropriately manage sensitive information and comply with NSWPF governance requirements.
