We are seeking an experienced, principled and self-motivated individual to lead our free-range poultry farm operations in the Mt Barker region.

About the Role
Reporting to the Southern Operations Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for leading day to day farming activities and requires a high level of responsibility including:
- Setting, monitoring and reporting on KPI's and other metrics across the operation
- Leading,
mentoring and developing farm workers and supervisors to achieve quality outcomes in a professional and commercial environment
- Driving continuous improvement in animal welfare, quality, productivity and environmental awareness across the site
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Group policies, principles and procedures
- Collaborating with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities and building a safe, high-performing workplace
- Championing animal welfare in everything you do
- Contributing to budgeting, resourcing and operational planning for the farm
- Acting as the senior point of escalation for day-to-day farm issues
What We Need from You
- A strong track record of 5+ years in poultry livestock operations, including delivering results and reporting against key performance indicators at a senior level
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing teams in an agricultural or livestock setting
- Experience with free-range poultry systems highly regarded
- Proven ability to work autonomously and lead in an unsupervised environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with solid attention to detail
- A passion for teamwork and mentoring to achieve our commercial and ethical goals and deliver profitable outcomes
