About the role

As Practice Manager, you will be the operational backbone of the clinic. You will ensure the business runs smoothly by optimising administrative workflows, leading our reception staff, and managing patient pathways.

Key responsibilities

- Mentor and support administrative and reception staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
- Oversee day-to-day clinic workflows, clinic policy implementation, and general workplace administration
- Manage billing, invoicing, and claims processes across NDIS, Medicare, private health insurance (HICAPS), and third-party insurers (e.g., WorkCover/DVA)
- Work closely with the Clinic Director/Owner to track key performance indicators (KPIs), assist with business growth strategies, and manage clinic stock
- Act as the escalation point for complex patient inquiries, onboard new clients, and ensure a welcoming clinic environment

About you

- 2+ years of experience in a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, or Senior Medical Reception role within Allied Health, General Practice, or a specialist medical clinic
- Proficiency using industry-standard practice management software (e.g., Cliniko, Halaxy, Nookal, Gensolve, or similar) alongside Microsoft Office




- Robust understanding of health funding pathways, including NDIS billing rules, Medicare chronic disease management plans, and private health claims
- Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of motivating a team
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
