ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a commercially driven relationship builder to join our Sales Team as Premium Client Manager, playing a key role in building meaningful relationships, delivering exceptional experiences and creating lasting value that strengthens our corporate and supporter community’s connection to the Melbourne Football Club.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring strong commercial acumen, sales and client management expertise, and a genuine passion for developing innovative products and experiences. You’ll be a confident communicator and natural networker who can build rapport quickly, thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring energy, resilience and a proactive mindset to everything you do.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Corporate Sales Manager, the key areas of responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and execution of product, engagement and marketing plans for key premium and corporate membership groups, with a focus on growth, retention and revenue.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Club’s Inner Sanctum, President’s Club and premium members, driving engagement, renewals, sales and opportunities to increase client value.
- Manage the Club’s Foundation Heroes & Legends relationships, including engagement, event planning and opportunities to increase donations and value to the Club.
- Support the growth and engagement of the B2B Network, including networking opportunities, relationship management, referrals and commercial opportunities.
- Support the delivery of premium travel, Corporate Football Experience and Team Camp initiatives, ensuring high-quality client experiences and strong stakeholder engagement.
- Champion the use of CRM across Sales & Events to effectively manage client relationships, sales opportunities, renewals, engagement and revenue.
- Identify opportunities for upselling,
cross-selling and incremental revenue across premium membership, hospitality, events and other Club products.
- Work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to deliver high-quality corporate and premium experiences and ensure effective marketing support.
- Coordinate football talent requests with the Football Department on behalf of the Sales team.
- Build strong relationships across Commercial, Membership, Events and Football to ensure a seamless experience for premium clients and stakeholders.
- Track and report on key revenue, retention, membership growth and client engagement metrics.
- Represent the Club at key AFL/AFLW match days, events and premium experiences, including evenings and weekends where required.
Given the nature of the Club's operations, flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including match days, events and other Club-related activities is required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are commercially minded and a results-driven professional with a strong understanding of commercial strategy, hospitality products and marketing. You are confident in developing and executing plans that deliver against financial targets, with strong analytical and reporting skills to measure and communicate key outcomes. With a willingness to think differently and innovate, you will bring fresh ideas and a genuine desire to create unique and memorable experiences for clients and supporters.
You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder, with the confidence to network, present to groups and quickly build rapport with people across a diverse range of industries. You are highly organised and detail-oriented and is someone who will take ownership of their work, manage competing priorities and confidently oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate and donor clients. Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic, passionate and positive, with a willingness to have fun and make a meaningful contribution to the Club’s success.
