This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.

The Role The Principal Consultant provides high-level professional and strategic support to drive the development, implementation and coordination of Statewide Services projects, programs and initiatives. Working across a complex and agile environment, the role builds and maintains strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the Department, schools and the broader community to support collaborative and effective service delivery.

If successful, you will undertake research, review and analysis of organisational policies, procedures and guidelines, providing strategic advice and support to senior executives on a broad range of issues and initiatives aligned to government priorities. You will prepare and evaluate high-quality briefing papers, speeches, correspondence, project budgets and confidential reports, ensuring decision-makers are supported with timely, evidence-based advice.

- Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills with a proven ability to deliver outcomes on schedule in a demanding environment and under tight timeframes.
