We are seeking a motivated and experienced labour relations professional, who is keen to work in a small dynamic team delivering labour relations services and support for the Western Australian public sector training sector. The ability to work on complex issues in a collaborative way is important in our team, and we value working together towards team goals, respecting and learning from each other and celebrating our successes.





The Principal Labour Relations Advisor assists the Assistant Director to supervise and coordinate the activities of the Labour Relations team to ensure provision of advice, services and industrial representation and advocacy for the Department and TAFE colleges. This position assists in the achievement of strategic workplace and labour relations reform in accordance with Departmental and TAFE College objectives, as well as those of central government agencies, such as the Public Sector Commission and Government Sector Labour Relations.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in strategic and operational public sector labour relations, excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, experience in negotiation and advocacy and have demonstrated high quality interpretation and consultancy skills.

Other Conditions and Eligibility

New employees will be required to obtain a criminal convictions screening clearance by providing a current National Police Certificate prior to their appointment.
