Ferntree Gully

Physiotherapist - New Graduate or Experienced Build a great private-practice career - with the support and opportunities to make it your own.

Pathways Physiotherapy is looking for a full-time physiotherapist to join our team in Ferntree Gully. We’re open to both new graduates beginning their private-practice career and experienced physiotherapists looking for a clinic where they can continue developing, pursue their clinical interests and make a meaningful contribution to the team.

The role and support will be tailored to the successful applicant’s experience. We aren’t looking for a particular number of years on your CV - we’re looking for the right person.

This role could be right for you if you:

- Want to work within a close, supportive team that genuinely helps one another
- Enjoy combining hands-on treatment with exercise-based rehabilitation
- Care about building strong relationships with your client to achieve meaningful outcomes
- Want regular clinical development without being micromanaged
- Are interested in Clinical Pilates, strength and conditioning, or developing your own clinical area of interest
- Value contributing to team learning, clinic culture and referral relationships
- Want a workplace where you can build a sustainable long-term career

You may be a new graduate looking for strong foundations and plenty of guidance. Alternatively, you may already have private-practice experience and want greater autonomy, opportunities to develop a niche, mentor others or progress towards leadership.

What you’ll receive

Clinical development tailored to you

- Regular one-on-one mentoring with an experienced physiotherapist
- Weekly team in-services and group case discussions
- Access to a broad team with experience across musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Dance Physiotherapy & Women's Health, strength and conditioning, exercise physiology and rehabilitation
- Quarterly goal-setting and career-development conversations
- Support to develop your clinical interests, referral networks and longer-term career direction

New graduates will receive a structured onboarding and mentoring program to help them build their clinical reasoning, treatment skills, communication and private-practice confidence.

Experienced physiotherapists will receive support appropriate to their goals - including opportunities to develop a clinical niche, contribute to team development, mentor less-experienced clinicians and potentially move into future leadership roles.

A workplace designed for great rehabilitation - and genuine team connection

- Five private treatment rooms
- A large, bright and fully equipped Clinical Pilates and strength-and-conditioning studio
- A shared note-writing space that makes it easy to discuss cases, ask questions and learn from the clinicians around you
- Our basketball ring out the back provides space for a quick reset, friendly competition or those important between-client debriefs

Employment and lifestyle

- An attractive base wage aligned with your experience, with commission paid on top
- Up to $1,500 per year in matched CPD support
- A full-time position with the roster developed collaboratively
- Some evening availability and participation in a shared Saturday rotation
- Team culture days 3 times a year and regular social activities

- Genuine longer-term flexibility and career opportunities as your circumstances and ambitions evolve

Your role will include

- Assessing and treating a varied musculoskeletal caseload
- Combining manual therapy, education, home exercise and supervised clinical exercise
- Developing solid therapeutic relationships and delivering excellent client experiences
- Actively participating in mentoring, professional development and team learning

- Communicating with referrers and other health professionals
- Contributing to activities that build your caseload and strengthen Pathways’ local referral relationships
- Participating positively in the culture and shared responsibilities of the clinic
