About the role

As a Process Worker, you'll work as part of a production team handling and packaging poultry products.

Depending on the section of the facility you're working in, your duties may include:

- Handling raw and cooked poultry products
- Wrapping, weighing, bagging and packaging products
- Stacking products and preparing them for dispatch
- Operating processing equipment and pallet jacks following training
- Performing repetitive manual handling of products up to 20kg
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
- Maintaining quality and production standards

The role involves repetitive work and extended periods on your feet,



so you'll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Shifts & Hours

Shift start and finish times, as well as weekly hours, vary depending on the section of the factory you are assigned to.

Multiple shift options are available, including day and afternoon shifts, with weekend work potentially required. What we're looking for

You don't need previous factory or food-processing experience. We're looking for people who are:

- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
- Physically capable of manual handling up to 20kg
- Comfortable working with raw and cooked poultry
- Able to work in warm and cool areas of the facility
- Flexible with shift times and available for weekend work when required
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow procedures
- Able to travel reliably to and from the Beresfield site

Important site requirements

Due to strict food-safety and biosecurity requirements:

- You must not keep birds, chickens or pigs at home
- You must be able to work around flour, gluten and marinades
- Jewellery and piercings must be removed while working on site

What you can expect

You'll receive full training and all required PPE, so previous experience in poultry processing isn't necessary. For people who perform well in the role, there is also an opportunity to move from an APG assignment onto the company's books, with both casual and permanent employment opportunities available.
