We're looking for a CA/CPA qualified accountant to join a Product Control team providing independent oversight and financial control for a business sitting within the Global Markets division of Institutional Banking & Markets.
You'll own end-to-end financial control for the desk - daily P&L;, month-end accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations - working alongside a team of qualified accountants with Markets experience across leading global institutions.
What you'll do:
- Own daily P&L; and attribution, with clear daily, weekly and monthly commentary
- Run month-end reporting: balance sheet attestation and analysis, and General Ledger-to-source-system reconciliation
- Deliver high quality, business-focused management reporting,
forecasting and insight
- Support the business with financial analysis
- Spot and drive opportunities to reduce manual effort across reporting processes
What you'll bring:
- CA/CPA qualification with strong accounting skills
- Solid numeracy and a solid understanding of financial products
- Working knowledge of accounting standards, applied in practice
- Advanced analytical and data skills, including SQL or similar tools
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, with genuine openness, honesty and transparency
