About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production and Design Manager to join our team on a full-time basis at our Richmond, VIC location. In this strategic role, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all production and design activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is integral to our operations, as you will bridge creative vision with operational excellence, leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous process improvements.

You will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality whilst optimising our production workflow and resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all production and design projects from initiation through to completion

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery and cost-effectiveness

- Oversee the design and production teams, providing clear direction, support, and mentorship to ensure alignment with project objectives

- Monitor production metrics and quality standards,



implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and output quality

- Liaise with clients to understand requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular project updates

- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational challenges in a timely manner

- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, designs, and project documentation

- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and the development of recent production capabilities

- Ensure all production activities comply with relevant health, safety, and quality standards

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and process optimisation across the team

What we're looking for

- 5+ years' experience in production management, design management, or a related role within manufacturing or production environments

- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining quality and meeting deadlines

- Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling methodologies, including familiarity with relevant software systems

- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

- Solid knowledge of design principles and the ability to manage creative and technical teams





- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite

- Robust communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal teams and external clients

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

- Experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is desirable

- Relevant tertiary qualification in business management, production management, design, or a related discipline is preferred
