We are seeking an experienced Production Manager who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys taking ownership of both operational leadership and technical engineering outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily factory operations to achieve production, quality, safety and delivery targets.
- Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand and operational objectives.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement strategies to improve productivity and factory performance.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
- Oversee CAD design reviews,
engineering documentation and product development activities.
- Manage capital equipment upgrades, maintenance improvements and facility optimisation projects.
- Lead, coach and develop production teams while fostering a solid safety culture.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, quality and leadership teams to deliver business outcomes.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Factory Management, Manufacturing Management or Operations Leadership.
- Advanced experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning and resource scheduling.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and project management capabilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience.
- CNC manufacturing, fabrication, assembly or industrial production environments.
- ERP/MRP implementation or optimisation experience.
- Project Management qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience managing engineering change processes and design-for-manufacture initiatives.
- Knowledge of ISO quality systems and audit processes
