About the Role

Aline Group Australia is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our switchboard manufacturing floor.

This is a floor-based leadership role, responsible for actively managing production teams, monitoring work in progress and ensuring switchboard projects are manufactured safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

· Be actively present on the factory floor managing daily production.

· Direct and coordinate Leading Hands, electricians, fitters, control wirers, apprentices and production staff.

· Allocate labour and daily tasks across projects and work areas.

· Monitor progress throughout the day and ensure production targets are being achieved.

· Regularly inspect work in progress for quality and workmanship.

· Ensure teams are working from the correct drawings and information.

· Identify production issues, bottlenecks and delays and take immediate action to resolve them.

· Work closely with Project Managers to understand priorities and upcoming deadlines.

· Ensure materials, components, drawings and equipment are available when required.

· Coordinate boards through assembly, wiring, QA, testing and completion.

· Maintain a clean, organised, safe and productive factory floor.





· Mentor and support Leading Hands and production staff.

· Drive accountability, productivity and continuous improvement across the factory.

Skills & Experience

· Experience supervising or managing teams within switchboard manufacturing, electrical manufacturing or a similar workplace.

· Strong hands-on understanding of electrical and manufacturing processes.

· Ability to read and understand electrical and manufacturing drawings.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.

· Strong focus on workmanship, productivity and meeting deadlines.

· Ability to identify problems quickly and make practical decisions on the factory floor.

Experience within LV switchboard manufacturing and electrical production will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be highly visible within production, understand what each team is working on, keep projects moving and step in to resolve issues as they arise.

This role requires someone who can lead people, maintain high standards and take ownership of the daily performance of the factory.
