Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Coordinator – Steel Fabrication to join our Brisbane team at our Rocklea facility (Brisbane).

About the Role

This is a hands-on coordination role responsible for supporting fabrication projects from handover through to production and delivery.

Working closely with Production, Estimating, Purchasing, Quality, Drafting and Management, you will help ensure projects are properly planned, documented and coordinated so that fabrication progresses efficiently and customer requirements, quality standards and delivery deadlines are achieved.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of structural steel fabrication and workshop processes and be confident working with engineering drawings, production requirements, materials and multiple project priorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate fabrication projects from project handover through production and delivery.

- Review engineering drawings, specifications, scope of works and project requirements.

- Prepare and maintain project documentation, work packs and production information.

- Coordinate project priorities and requirements with the Workshop Manager, Supervisors and production teams.





- Monitor project schedules, fabrication progress and delivery deadlines.

- Coordinate material requirements with Purchasing and ensure required materials are available in line with production schedules.

- Identify drawing, material or production issues and coordinate technical queries and clarifications.

- Liaise with Estimating, Drafting, Purchasing, Production and Quality teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Assist with RFQs and coordination of subcontractors and external services where required.

- Coordinate project variations and communicate changes to the relevant stakeholders.

- Support the completion of quality documentation and manufacturing records.

- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to Management and relevant stakeholders.

- Assist in resolving production issues to keep projects progressing and minimise delays.

- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

- • Maintain and monitor NCR and RFI registers and follow up outstanding actions.

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in project coordination, production coordination or project management within structural steel, fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and workshop processes.





- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.

- Good understanding of materials, fabrication sequences and production requirements.

- Robust planning, organisational and time-management skills.

- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.

- Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with workshop teams, suppliers, management and other departments.

- Competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and confidence working with project/production systems.

A relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a trade/fabrication background will be highly regarded.
