Lawmee is a tech-enabled marketplace used by 250+ law firms and companies, providing lawyers with direct access to secondment and interim opportunities. The marketplace includes opportunities with ASX-listed companies, multinationals, GTEs, private businesses, and law firms.
About the role:
Lawmee is working with a leading Australian consumer products company to secure an experienced Legal Counsel on a contracting basis.
Commencing in early 2027, this engagement is expected to run for up to 12 months and offers a versatile hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
Joining a small but collaborative and high-performing legal team, you will provide practical and commercially focused advice across a diverse range of business functions and strategic projects.
Some of your key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Providing legal support to the Supply Chain, Procurement and IT teams, including advising on tenders, commercial contracts, disputes and day-to-day legal matters.
- Supporting a significant digital transformation program, partnering closely with project stakeholders to identify and manage legal risks.
- Advising on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, compliance and marketing matters as required.
- Managing company secretarial responsibilities,
including regulatory filings, corporate records and governance requirements.
- Coordinating Board and Executive materials, maintaining directors' duties training content and supporting corporate restructures, including deregistrations and business transfers.
Who we are looking for:
We’d like to hear from lawyers with 5+ years’ PAE ideally gained within an in-house setting.
You will have strong commercial contracting experience and be comfortable advising a broad range of stakeholders across multiple business functions. Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, technology or digital transformation projects will be highly regarded.
Why are lawyers using Lawmee’s secondments marketplace?
Choose the work you want, when you want it – get ‘matched’ with opportunities as they become available, and choose whether to apply.
Flexibility – hybrid working options, including WFH and the flexibility to choose the hours you work.
Get paid for every hour worked – including overtime.
Full support from our team – we’re based locally in Australia (with administration, timesheets, payroll, and superannuation all handled for you).
Thank you for your support as we embark on the journey to reshape legal secondments.
