ABOUT THE ROLE
Jacana Energy’s Information and Communication Technology Strategic roadmap aims to align technology to organisational requirements and support the growth of new projects and services. This role will leverage existing relationships with delivery partners to deliver new and upgraded business systems that are scalable and support evolving business requirements.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will be doing:
1. Provide end-to-end project management of IT systems including but not limited to,
planning, resource management, cost modelling, tracking and reporting of progress, and risk and issue management in line with Jacana Energy’s project management framework.
1.
Manage the sourcing of technical solutions in line with procurement procedures,
including preparation of documentation, managing the selection process, market and cost analysis, and developing recommendations.
1. Manage multiple IT vendors to design, document and deliver network and system
projects by facilitating vendor workshops and leading multiple internal and external stakeholders.
1. Provide technical support and advice to ensure that systems are fit for purpose, scalable
and achieve the businesses objectives.
1. Accountable for the planning and coordination of system integration testing and user
acceptance testing, including issue defect management and reporting.
1. Comply with the Northern Territory Public Sector and Jacana Energy codes of conduct,
policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory guidelines SELECTION CRITERIA The ideal candidate must have:
1. Demonstrated experience managing business and technical IT projects including
business case development, planning, and delivery through to project closure.
1. Sound experience and knowledge of implementing new business systems and migrating
services from in-house on-premises solutions to cloud-based or ‘as-a-Service’ solutions.
1. Proven excellence in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey
technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
1. Proven high level adaptability, flexibility, and resilience, with a demonstrated ability to
handle pressure and manage change effectively.
1. Commitment to providing a high standard of customer service and operating within the
Jacana Energy corporate values of Diversity, Innovation, Honesty, Teamwork and Wellbeing.
You may also have:
1. Demonstrated advanced technical writing skills for work instructions, policy and
procedures, functional requirements, and workflow diagrams.
1. Demonstrated experience with the use of PM methodologies, such as, PRINCE2-Agile,
PRINCE2 or similar.
1. Relevant experience in energy retail, regulated utility commercial environment, or
Government Owned Corporations.
