Whether you’re a Kiwi looking to return home or an Australian considering a move to Recent Zealand, this is an opportunity to lead substantial greenfields land development work in South Auckland.

This established New Zealand-owned civil contractor has delivered major land development and infrastructure projects for more than 40 years. With a team of over 150 people and much of its delivery capability in-house, including crews, plant, survey and design, its Project Managers have the resources and authority to take genuine ownership of delivery.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who has delivered large greenfields land development projects in Current Zealand or Australia.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the work. You’ll lead the project team, make decisions, solve problems and drive strong safety, programme, quality, commercial and client outcomes.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for project delivery, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Planning, programming and coordinating construction works.
- Leading site teams and providing clear direction to staff and subcontractors.
- Developing safe, efficient and practical construction methodologies.
- Reviewing designs for buildability, clashes and construction risk.
- Managing resources, materials, plant and subcontractor requirements.
- Monitoring progress, productivity, cost, quality and programme.

Their projects cover the full scope of land development, including bulk earthworks, stormwater, wastewater and water reticulation, utilities, retaining walls, roading, stabilisation and pavement construction.



You’ll also be involved in survey and design coordination and value engineering.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have proven Project Management experience delivering greenfields land development projects in New Zealand or Australia, along with:

- Strong technical knowledge of earthworks and civil construction.
- A practical understanding of sequencing, methodology and construction risk.
- The ability to plan work, set production targets and drive programme outcomes.
- Confidence leading site teams and working with clients and consultants.
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

You’ll be comfortable spending time both on site and in the office, and getting involved in the practical and technical detail when needed. Why consider this opportunity?
