A purpose-led national industry body is seeking an experienced Project Officer to lead a SharePoint restructure and uplift information management practices. This is a hands-on temp role suited to someone who enjoys untangling messy document libraries, implementing practical governance, and bringing people along through clear training and guidance.
THE ROLE:
You will take ownership of a SharePoint improvement project end-to-end: discovery, options/recommendations, design, migration and training/change management. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will help standardise document storage, naming conventions and templates to improve usability, searchability and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a clear project plan with deliverables and milestones
- Assess the current SharePoint environment and identify issues, risks and opportunities
- Provide options and recommendations for an improved structure and governance approach
- Implement the approved approach, including:
- setting up new folder / site structures as required
- auditing existing content and confirming correct location and naming conventions
- determining correct document versions to retain
- archiving / cleaning up redundant, obsolete or trivial content
- Manage migration activities and validate accuracy/quality post-migration
- Establish simple permission models and practical governance guidelines
- Train staff and create user guides, quick-reference material and FAQs
- Support documentation improvements (policies/procedures, templates,
formatting consistency)
ABOUT YOU:
- Strong SharePoint capability (site/document library structure, permissions, migration processes)
- Solid information/document management experience and exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence working with stakeholders to clarify needs and drive adoption
- Strong MS Office skills and documentation capability (templates, standards, version control)
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and provide weekly progress updates
- Have a Working with Children Check or prepared to obtain
- A National Police Check will be conducted
