About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
This role is ideal for someone who is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred psychological support to NDIS participants and working collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals.
As a Psychologist, you will provide evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to support participants with their emotional wellbeing, mental health, functional capacity, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments based on participant needs and NDIS goals.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and individualised treatment plans.
- Support participants with emotional regulation, anxiety, mood difficulties, coping strategies, social skills, and other psychological needs.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support workers, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor, review, and evaluate participant progress and therapeutic outcomes.
- Complete psychological reports, progress reports, assessments, case notes, and other required documentation.
- Provide recommendations and practical strategies to participants and their support networks.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences where required.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records.
- Manage an allocated caseload independently while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
- Identify and respond appropriately to clinical risks, safeguarding concerns, and changes in participant circumstances.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with AHPRA professional standards, NDIS Practice Standards, and NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology.
- Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience providing psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Experience working with people with disability, psychosocial disability, developmental needs, and/or complex support needs.
- Experience within the NDIS sector is highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of person-centred, strengths-based, and evidence-based psychological practice.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
- Solid interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
