**Temporary part time opportunity to help design, guide and implement the peer-support arm of this program by providing trauma-informed care and therapeutic support to peer supporters and support recipients. This role will involve supervision, mentoring, resource development and program evaluation.
About the role
Temporary part time opportunity to contribute to a new, consumer-driven, peer-support network through the RBWH Trauma Service. The Major Injury Survivor and Support Community (MISC+) is a trial program designed to support survivors of major injury and their carers and family during the recovery journey.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Support the delivery and growth of an innovative peer-support program, making a meaningful difference in the lives of major injury survivors.
Provide trauma-informed emotional support, mentoring and clinical supervision to empower peer-support providers and strengthen recovery outcomes.
Develop specialist expertise in psychosocial care while creating valuable education and support resources for survivors and their families.
Collaborate with a diverse network of stakeholders, contributing strategic advice and driving integrated, person-centred support services.
Lead quality improvement and evidence-based initiatives, helping shape the future direction and sustainability of a highly impactful program.
