United Care Network provides person-centred and evidence-based support to participants of all ages. We deliver services in homes, schools, childcare centres and community settings across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced psychologist to join our growing team as a subcontractor. The psychologist will provide assessment, intervention and capacity-building support to children, adolescents and adults, including NDIS participants.

The caseload can be tailored, where possible, to your experience, preferred locations and availability.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct psychological assessments and initial consultations.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Support participants experiencing anxiety, emotional-regulation difficulties, developmental disability, autism, ADHD, trauma or behavioural concerns.
- Develop individualised goals and intervention plans.
- Provide practical strategies and education to participants, families and carers.
- Prepare progress notes, reports and NDIS supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with families, schools, support coordinators and allied health professionals.
- Monitor participant outcomes and regularly review intervention strategies.
- Maintain ethical, professional and NDIS-compliant practices.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, incidents and changes in risk.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have





- General registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
- Relevant qualifications in psychology.
- Experience providing psychological assessment and intervention.
- Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
- An understanding of person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive and neuroaffirming practice.
- Experience supporting NDIS participants or people with disability is highly regarded.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Essential requirements The successful applicant must hold or obtain:
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Access to a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Australian working rights.
- Current ABN and capacity to provide tax invoices.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Personal accident or income-protection insurance.
- Two professional referees.
