Reporting to the General Manager, Technology, you will lead the site's day-to-day quality function and drive continuous improvement across quality systems, compliance and technical training. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Procurement while acting as a key contact for customers, stakeholders and external auditors on quality matters.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System
- Maintain compliance with relevant quality, environmental and certification standards
- Coordinate internal and external audits and manage corrective actions
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints using root cause analysis
- Manage manufacturing quality risks and prevent recurring defects
- Partner with Procurement to improve supplier quality and performance
- Maintain document control, compliance records and quality reporting
- Develop competency-based training matrices, records and technical training
- Analyse quality data and support Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote safe working practices and high manufacturing standards
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- Significant quality experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, risk assessment and compliance
- Experience with auditing, investigations and root cause analysis
- Knowledge of Valuable Manufacturing Practices and safe work procedures
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Strong leadership, planning and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to train and coach employees in workplace procedures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive, collaborative and results-focused approach
