What does a typical day look like in a Shop?

As part of your regular 4-hour shift each week, you'll help keep our shop running smoothly by:

- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Processing sales through the register (cash and EFTPOS)
- Sorting and pricing donated items
- Creating attractive displays and stocking shelves
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and inviting
- Working alongside a friendly team of volunteers and staff

We'd love to hear from you if you:

- Are reliable and able to commit to a regular shift
- Are happy to lend a hand wherever needed

- Are at least 15 years of age

Our stores rely on volunteers to operate successfully, so we ideally look for volunteers who can commit to a regular 4-hour shift each week. However, we understand that everyone has different schedules and commitments, and we're very open to discussing what might work for you. What’s the application process?

- No need to upload a resume – just tell us why you’re interested in the role
- We’ll then have a friendly interview in store and ask you a few questions and you can ask us questions too
- Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
- Completing our volunteer onboarding process, including induction, reviewing key policies and procedures to help you understand your role and what's expected of you as a member of our volunteer team.
