We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our friendly and patient-centred general practice at West Beach Medical Centre (https://www.westbeachmedicalcentre.com/). Duties include, but are not limited to:

- performing clinical duties displaying a high level of clinical competence
- explain procedures to patients and provide support including immunisations (children, adult and travel vaccines), wound management, chronic disease management and health assessments, ECG's, spirometry, iron infusions and collection of pathology samples and also assist doctors with clinical procedures
- maintaining Recall & Reminder Systems
- maintain clinical documentation
- oversee cold chain process, including documentation of cold chain process
- monitor infection control standards and implement changes and provide staff education
- assist with data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers, planning & management of patient care and patient advocacy. Telephone patients with test results as directed by medical staff
- conduct preventative/screening procedures; assist with patient education and community health promotion activities.



Co-ordinate patient recall and outreach programs and GP management plans and team care arrangement
- maintain stocks of clinical supplies and regular stock take
- keep up to date with current and new legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation, hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste, records management, OHS, and accreditation
- act within the practice and nursing code of ethics & appropriate level of clinical competence at all times

The successful applicant will possess:

- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current AHPRA registration (unrestricted) with any current First Aid/CPR certification
- Previous general practice experience (minimum 1 yr) and Best Practice Software experience
- Completion of an accredited immunisation course
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and proactive approach to patient care
- Eligibility to work in Australia
