Make a difference in adolescent health

Join Justice Health NSW at Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre and provide primary healthcare to young people with complex health needs.

You’ll work alongside skilled colleagues in a unique clinical environment where you can broaden your experience, develop your nursing skills and make a meaningful difference to the health of young people.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse in Primary Care, you’ll provide assessment, treatment and ongoing healthcare to young people in custody.

Your role will include

- Reception screening and comprehensive health assessments

- Assessing and responding to acute and ongoing health needs

- Planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care

- Supporting continuity of care and positive health outcomes

- Working collaboratively with healthcare and custodial teams

To be eligible, you’ll need:

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

- At least two full years of nursing experience

Our Location

Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre is located in Airds in Western Sydney and provides a secure environment for young people in the NSW youth justice system.





The centre has a strong focus on rehabilitation, education, health and wellbeing, giving you the opportunity to provide healthcare to young people at an important stage of their lives.

1. A 13-year-old female patient presents to the health centre feeling unwell. She is short of breath, diaphoretic, pale and anxious. Identify your assessment plan and what would be required for follow-up of this young person.

2. Share an experience where you had to adapt quickly to a change in a patient's condition or a sudden shift in priorities. How did you handle it?

3. Describe a situation where you identified an issue in a care process and implemented a solution to improve efficiency or patient outcomes.
