Temporary part time opportunity to develop and improve your clinical skills in Intensive Care Medicine with the aim of developing specialist skills in the field of acute medicine. The Registrar is expected to develop an understanding of research methods and techniques and to supervise, teach and assess junior medical staff as required.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Manage and coordinate the care of critically ill patients in a leading Adult Intensive Care Unit with support from experienced ICU specialists.
- Develop advanced clinical decision-making skills while contributing to rapid response and acute patient management initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care across complex clinical presentations.
- Mentor and support junior doctors and medical students, helping shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Participate in research, education, grand rounds and quality improvement activities that drive excellence in Intensive Care Medicine.
- Build your specialist expertise in a high-performing tertiary ICU committed to clinical innovation, learning and patient safety.
