SPAR supplies grocery products, marketing and retail support services to approximately 300 independent retail supermarkets including the SPAR and 5 STAR banner groups located in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and Pacific Island areas and is one of only two major suppliers to independent supermarket operators on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. SPAR operates a large distribution centre of some 13,400sqm from premises located at Acacia Ridge on the southern side of Brisbane which carries approximately 7,500 dry grocery lines with a further 1,500 frozen/chilled product lines.
The Distribution
Centre is technology enabled, utilising the latest ERP computer platform linked via warehouse management systems and RF technology.

SPAR Australia is offering an exciting opportunity for a replenishment buyer to maintain stock levels at the most economical level whilst ensuring service levels and stock holding targets are achieved. This position is ideal for someone with experience or a recent graduate eager to dive into the world of FMCG retail. It is a 12 month contract with a real possibility to grow into permanent.
The hours are likely starting around 6.00am – 7.00am and finish around 2.00pm – 3.00pm.

The successful applicant will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining warehouse stock levels to budgeted levels at all times, achieve KPI’s, achieve investment buying income as budgeted and reach stretch targets. You will also manage supply issues efficiently and have a proactive approach to resolving any short supply or oversupply
This person is likely in a similar inventory, replenishment or planning role now in retail but could be a different industry with some experience in retail or the supplier side and has an ambition to grow into an inventory manager role in the next few years. We are looking for candidates with the drive to succeed, learn and develop.
Responsibilities
Replenish stock based on sales and inventory budget
Manage booking and scheduling to the warehouse
Inventory across several categories) management assistance
Shrinkage minimisation
Forecasting for promotional as well as seasonal fluctuations
Daily lost sales level and number of lines out of stock
Daily Purchase orders placed
Weekly Stock on hand value and weekly days cover
Weekly value of Deleted line pending clearance
Skills and experience
Demonstrable - High level computer skills and high level of data input speed and accuracy To anticipate customer requirements whilst meeting stock turn criteria.
Navision and exposure to EDI would be highly regarded (not essential)
Manage and measure performance levels daily
Analyse results during critical periods and develop tactics to improve performance
