Cowra Retail Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team in Cowra, New South Wales.

This is a full time position offering an annual salary of $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and suitability.

About the role The Retail Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the retail business, ensuring high standards of customer service, staff performance, stock control, merchandising, sales, and store presentation.

The successful applicant will work closely with business management to support sales growth, maintain efficient store operations, and lead the retail team.

Key responsibilities

- Manage daily retail store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

- Supervise, train, roster and support retail sales staff.

- Maintain a high standard of customer service and resolve customer enquiries or complaints professionally.

- Monitor sales performance and implement practical strategies to improve sales and profitability.

- Manage stock ordering, receiving, pricing, inventory levels and stock rotation.

- Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies, wastage or losses.

- Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and in accordance with store standards.

- Monitor store cleanliness, safety, security and overall presentation.

- Prepare staff rosters to ensure appropriate coverage during trading hours.

- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management of retail employees.





- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant retail policies.

- Prepare or assist with sales, stock and operational reports for management.

Essential requirements To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

- At least one year of relevant retail management or retail supervisory experience.

- A Diploma of Management, Diploma of Leadership and Management, or another relevant management qualification.

- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and coordinating day-to-day retail operations.

- Good knowledge of stock control, inventory management, merchandising and retail sales procedures.

- Strong customer-service and communication skills.

- The ability to lead, motivate and manage a team in a busy retail environment.

- Sound computer, administration and reporting skills.

- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
