About the role
The City of Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join its revenue team. This position will work across a diverse portfolio of accounts, charges and transactions. You will be involved in end-to-end receivable processes, including invoicing, receipt investigation and allocation, refunds, resolving complex account matters, monitoring outstanding debts and working collaboratively with customers.
The Revenue Officer will contribute to the administration of council rates, ensuring accurate transactions and processing, account maintenance and customer service across the rates lifecycle.
We're looking for applicants with:
- demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legal obligations with critical thinking
- Exceptional systems and analytical skills, with proven ability to reconcile data across multiple sources, identify variances and trends, and drive data integrity.
- demonstrated ability to work with minimum of supervision and complete high volumes of work within allocated timeframes
- sound working knowledge of financial software applications including Excel.
- Experience in the application of local government rating legislation would be highly regarded.
