We are a Registered NDIS Provider that provides both SIL and Community Supports. We are seeking a dedicated Rostering Officer / Scheduling Officer to join our team. This is a full-time in office position based in Suburban Adelaide.
In this strategic role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the scheduling of care staff across our disability support services. You will play a vital part in ensuring that our clients receive consistent, high-quality care by maintaining effective rosters that match staffing levels to client needs. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our services and directly impacts the quality of care we deliver to vulnerable members of our community.
Key responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining accurate staff rosters and schedules that meet client care requirements and comply with award conditions and enterprise agreements
- Managing roster changes, leave approvals, and shift swaps in a timely and fair manner
- Liaising with care coordinators and management to understand staffing requirements and adjust rosters accordingly
- Ensuring adequate cover for all scheduled shifts and implementing contingency plans when staff absences occur
- Maintaining detailed records of staff hours, leave entitlements, and scheduling data
- Communicating roster information to staff through appropriate channels, ensuring clarity and accessibility
- Monitoring roster compliance and identifying patterns or issues that may affect service delivery
- Supporting staff with scheduling queries and providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
- Utilising rostering software and systems to maintain efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborating with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate timesheet and payroll processing
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in a rostering, scheduling or similar administrative coordination role, preferably within disability support or community services
- Proficiency with rostering software and systems; experience with platforms such as ShiftCare, Deputy or similar scheduling tools is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing scheduling needs
- Knowledge of aged care and disability support regulations, award conditions and industrial relations requirements is preferred
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with sensitive information
